Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains what Contractors Machinery Sales Inc. ("we", "us") does with information when you use this website and when you contact us.
1. Who we are
Contractors Machinery Sales Inc. is a New York business corporation (NY DOS ID 8021345) based in Queens, New York. Contact for anything in this policy: sales@contractorsmachinerysales.com.
2. What this website collects
Nothing by itself. The website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no forms. The landed cost estimate runs entirely in your browser; the figures you enter are not sent to us or to anyone else.
Our hosting provider receives the technical data any web server needs to deliver a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. The provider keeps this in its server logs for a limited period for security and operation. We do not combine it with anything else and do not use it to identify you.
3. What we collect when you contact us
When you email us, we receive what you send: your email address, your name if you sign with it, and the content of your message, which usually includes an auction lot link, a vehicle identification number and a destination. We use this to answer you, to prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to carry out the purchase and shipment. If you become a customer, we also process the information needed for the sale and export documents: the buyer's name and address, payment details for the invoice, and the vehicle's title and shipping records.
Our legal basis is performing the service you asked for and, where we must, complying with United States export and customs law.
4. Who we share it with
Only the parties needed to carry out a shipment: the auction, the inland carrier, the ocean carrier or freight forwarder, US Customs and Border Protection through the export declaration, and the customs broker at your destination if you ask us to introduce one. We do not sell or rent your information and do not use it for advertising.
Our email is hosted by a third-party provider in the United States. Shipping documents are shared with carriers that may be located outside the United States, as the shipment requires.
5. How long we keep it
Quote emails that do not lead to a shipment are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed shipments are kept for as long as US export, customs and tax rules require, which is at least five years from the date of export, and then deleted.
6. Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where no law requires us to keep it. Write to sales@contractorsmachinerysales.com. We answer within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Our processing of your data rests on the contract you ask us to perform and on our legal obligations as an exporter.
7. Changes
We update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. Material changes are mentioned in our reply to you if you have an open enquiry.
